Brant Flyers Mission

Brant Flyers, is affiliated with the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada and is a charter member of that body. Our main purpose is the advancement and safe enjoyment of radio controlled model aviation. This objective is realized through the co-operation of our membership with national and international modeling organizations, local government and the general public.

Club Profile

Brant Flyers RC is a club dedicated to radio controlled model aircraft enthusiasts in the Brant County area of Ontario, Canada, The club welcomes new members who may be interested in pursuing R/C model aviation as a hobby/sport.

The club is associated with the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC), the governing body for model aviation in Canada, and in turn, the Aeroclub of Canada as well as the Fèdération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) the global sport aviation authority.

Club meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the first Wednesday of each month from September through May. As of Fall 2017 the meetings will be moving to a new location - the Skyway Café at Brantford Airport.

Visitors are always welcome to attend our meetings.

Upcoming...

The Etonia field is open for flying. Hours are 9 am until half-hour before dusk Monday-Saturday, 12 noon until half-hour before dusk Sundays. Be sure to drive extremely slowly past the house.

The Middleport field is basically fine for flying now, so long as we don't get more heavy rain. There may still be some wet areas. Be aware that you need the combination to the gate lock in order to be able to drive in.

Regular social flying nights are held on Monday evenings at the Etonia field all season, weather permitting. Those interested in finding out more about the club are welcome to drop in.

Indoor meetings will resume in the Fall, after the flying season.

2018 membership dues are now overdue - deadline for payment without late fee was the January meeting. You must have your MAAC current through 2018 before renewing your membership.

All members are urged to join the Brant Flyers Facebook group, so that they can stay in touch with activities, and share news, photos and videos related to our hobby. Membership of this group is restricted to Brant Flyers members and their families. Just go to the group page (click here) and ask to join, or respond to the invitation when you receive one.

Recent...

The last general meeting of Brant Flyers was held on Wednesday May 2nd at the Skyway Café at Brantford Airport.

A very successful Christmas dinner was held at the Skyway Café at Brantford Airport on December 13th.

The club presented a display at the Brantford Air Show, which attracted considerable interest.

Regular social flying nights were held on Monday evenings at the Etonia field all season.

A successful Fun Fly, BBQ and swap meet was held on July 15th, 2017 at the Middleport field. We even had a flyover from the Warplane Heritage Museum's B-25 Mitchell.
